The first Dyson electric car will be manufactured in Singapore
At the beginning of the year, the British appliance manufacturer Dyson announced that it would develop an electric vehicle . At the time, the project sounded crazy, because they had never had contact with the automotive sector. However, it seems that the project is a reality, because in these days they have gone a step further, to execute it.
As confirmed by Jim Rowam, CEO of Dyson , they have already determined where in the world they will make their electric model. At first it had been speculated that the productive center could be in the UK. However, the company announced that it would be manufactured as close as possible to its battery supplier, and therefore, it will not finally be in its country of origin.
What location has Dyson chosen to manufacture its electric car?
According to a letter addressed to workers and signed by Rowan
>" Singapore offers access to high growth markets , as well as an extensive supply chain and a highly skilled workforce. It has a comparatively high cost base, but also a strong bias towards the development and use of advanced technologies "[...]" Therefore, it is the right place to manufacture high quality machines loaded with technology and the right place to assemble our electric vehicle "
Dyson will manufacture its electric car in Singapore, but it will be developed entirely in the United Kingdom

In them, an investment of more than 200 million Pounds will be carried out, in order to shelter more than 2,000 employees.
The works to raise the factory of Singapore They will start in December of this year. It should be finished by 2020, as Dyson's first electric model should reach the market in 2021 .
