This video shows us in a simple way the 24 versions, 4 families and 3 bodies of the Porsche 911 in its 991 generation.

This video helps us to better understand each version of the current Porsche 911

Despite the fact that in just a few days the new generation of the iconic Porsche 911 , which will be known as code 992, this video of five minutes helps us identify and understand each version of the current model. And is that, although it may not seem so, the nine eleven has nothing less than 24 different versions in three types of bodies .

The video, released by the brand on its official YouTube channel, is the most visual way to order the current range of the Porsche 911, because among so many acronyms, number, surname and body, it is not complicated to make a mess . I'll leave it right after the jump.

Porsche 911 Carrera

It all starts with the Porsche 911 Carrera ( 370 HP), which is available in both coupe and cabriolet bodies. For greater effectiveness and motor skills are the Carrera 4, which incorporate integral traction to the iconic model.

You can read here our dynamic impressions on the Porsche 911 Carrera.

The 911 Carrera S (420 HP) bring some distinctions in terms of performance, performance, aesthetics and equipment, being also full-wheel drive in the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S variants. Between the Carrera and Carrera S is located the passionate Porsche 911 Carrera T (370 HP) that both the purists have liked so much for their 7-speed manual transmission and rear propulsion.

Porsche 911 Targa

The Targa roof is, for me, the most spectacular body version of the 911, except for the GT3 RS and GT2. The 911 Targa is always associated with all-wheel drive, which can be the access version or the most equipped S. In this way, we have both 911 Targa 4 , and > 911 Targa 4S . The engines are the same as the Carrera.

Porsche 911 GTS

The GTS is the most powerful and emotional version of the Carrera, and is available in all body styles; Coupé, Cabriolet and Targa. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS has four-wheel drive and its engine develops a more than respectable 450 HP , being able to exceed 300 km/h. It also brings a greater distinction in terms of aesthetics and equipment.

Porsche 911 Turbo

The Turbo family, which was born in 1974, is made up of the Coupé and Cabriolet bodies, as well as of the S version for both bodies. Therefore, we have four versions, already exceeding 200,000 euros. The 3.8-cylinder 3.8-cylinder engine on the rear of the train gives 540 HP on the Turbo and 580 HP versions on the Turbo S.

Porsche 911 GT3

On the one hand we have the Porsche 911 GT3 "to dry" and, on the other, the 911 GT3 RS . The first, which develops is very sporty but not as extreme as the second. The GT3 has a dynamic set-up, while the GT3 RS has a configuration almost developed for circuit but taking into account its use on public roads. In addition, its aesthetic is very striking.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS

The most extreme and radical of all Porsche approved for the streets is the Porsche 911 GT2 . Here we speak a racing car with just enough to be legal on public roads. Its 3.8 biturbo six-cylinder develops no less than 700 HP and 750 Nm , and all this energy goes to the rear. It is the most powerful and fastest street Porsche ever created , with a 0 to 100 in less than 3 seconds. Yes, it costs more than 325,000 euros without optionals.
